Every day i'm shuffelin'

This week has been pretty busy. We did a lot of stuff in E.L.A but it was a lot of fun. When Mr. Oldcorn is your teacher it's always fun! We did our Paragraph of the week. It was about what we would put in a Time Capsule. Today we have a Science test -.-. It's going to be hard! But we also have the dance today! It's a Much Music Dance and it's going to be a blast! It'll be soooo much fun! I'm excited to see what a Much Music Dance is! I'm sure it will be awesome because all the dances are awesome, and i love dancing too! Before the Dance i'm going to Kaylin's and then to Nicole's. We're going to get ready together. Like I said  it's going to be groooovy! And the BEST thing that happened to me today is I became an auntie for the third time!

The weirdly tall shed

     Last weekend, me and my dad went to home depot, or home hardware. we got 1200 dollars worth of wood!
we were going to build a shed for me! so far we we have the floor and two walls up. the walls are about 10-12ft high! That is because he wants to make a second floor on top, so he could store some of his stuff in it too. I am going to put my dirtbikes and my snowmobiles in it.

Science Test

We are had a math test yesterday. The math test was about everything we have learned in chapter 11. Chapter 11 was about probability.In chapter 11 we learned how to make tree diagrams and tables to shot how many out there are for each question. The test was out of 19. I hope i got a good mark. I thought the math test was pretty hard but i studied lots so i think i got a decent mark.

My short week of school

This week of school has been good, its a short week because we don't have school tomorrow!Yesterday we had a math test, I hope that i did well. Today we have a science on plant, animal cells and its also on microscopes. I hope i do good! we also have our much music video dance tonight, which i`m pretty excited about!

This Week.............WAS EVIL!!!!!!!!!

Actually, i don't think it was that evil. But it there was a test, and there will be another one today. Does that qualify as evil? I don't know. What i do know is that the math test was pretty hard, and every period i hear at least 2 people talking about how their parents are going to get angry take away something. I think that most of us actually did pretty good though. The bus ridership thing happened and i was the unlucky guy who's leg was stuck and gets left behind, of course, but got I out.it was a pretty awesome week, and there is going to be a dance, i hope that a video dance is better than a regular dance. Quite a few people are going and i hope it will be fun. There is no school on Friday so that is good. Today turns out good, and if it does i will official not qualify it as EVIL!!!!!!Well Im all done this post sooooooo adios everyone!

School so far

Well we just took our first test and i feel pretty good about it. I'm hoping for maybe 90% on my test. We also have a test today and Monday. School is going by really fast.


Science so far is going good and our class is not doing the best in social studies because were always fooling around.

This week at school!

This week at school we had a Math test that took forever to write. The test was on probability I think I did pretty good because it was mostly all multiple choice.Also this week we are having a Science test today. This week we also got to meet with are grade 5 buddy and teach them about Mathletics and are blog. For POW this week we had to write about three things that we would put it in a time capsule that we will open in 25 years. That is how are whole week went.

This week

Today we have a science test 6th period on microscopes and cells. I hope it's not too hard because I'm a little tired and ready for the weekend. No school Friday ya! Also this week we had to make a paragraph of the week about making a time capsule. One of the things in my time capsule is money because it is going to change in the next few years.

THINGS THAT WE HAVE DONE SO FAR

I hope i got over 80 % on my math test and i cant wait to be done my science test and social test than all i have to wait for is our grade 5 collage and our in dependent book report. This has bin the best school year ever so far.

Much Music Dance

Tonight is the dance. I am excited to see what a Much Music Dance is.It will be a very interesting dance if Mr. O will be at the dance. I bet u if he was there everyone would be laughing. No offence Mr. O.

Tests! And the Much Music Dance!

We had a math test yesturday and a science test today. I am hoping to do well on both of them. On my math test i hope to get 80% or over. On my science test i hope to get 85% or over. We have a social studies test on Monday as well. I hope to get 85% or over on that too. Tonight is our first dance of the year. It is called the Much Music Dance. We have never had a much music dance before. A much music dance is when the song that is playing is showing the video on a big screen. I think it will be a lot of fun with my friends. If mr.Olcorn is there everyone will be laughing because he has some very wicked moves.

Science Test!

Today we have a science test and i am hoping to get 75 or 80 on it. I studied last night and i think i know everything pretty good. We were supposed to have a Social Studies test today too but it got changed to Monday. We have the dance tonight so that should be fun too!

my busy week

This week was a busy week. We had a drama test, a math test and we are going to have a science test later on today. This week I had to do a lot of studying but I think I did really good. All of last week I had to work although I was still a nice sister and stayed out after work so my brother could stay out longer and hang out. I also had to finish my blog and study for my drama test. Then on Monday i had work again. then Tuesday i went out sell magazine's. Unfortunately because i live out on a farm and no one live within 5 miles of me it was hard trying to find people to buy the magazine. After i was done magazine selling i studied for my math test. Then on Wednesday i had dance. Then tonight I'm going to the dance. tomorrow I'm going to go magazine selling and just basically just hang out in town. then on Saturday and Sunday i work.

This week at school

This week at school we are having lots of tests. We had a math,drama and science test. This week is also a short week at school. We do not have to goon Friday. also this week at school We had to do our POW on what we would want to put in a time capsule. Last of all we have our dance tonight. So that is what we did this year.

Science Test

Today in about 2-4 hour I got a science test. I studyed pretty good last night and i'm aiming for 70 or over good luck to everyone else! I am really looking forward to the dance tonight at 8:00 and for my math test I am really hopeing for 75 or higher.

Tomorrow we have a science test. all living things are composed of 1 or more cell. Cells are the basic structures. All cells come from previous excisting cells. The activity of an entire organism depends on the total activity of its independent cells.

Today we have a science test.Science is on the organelles, magnifications and cells. Low power-4x. Medium Power-10x. High power-100x. On Monday we have a social studies test it is on CE and BCE. It is also on history and stuff we have been doing trough unit 1.I hope i get 75 or80 percent on social or science.Good luck to everyone else!

on friday we had our first science test. our science test was about microscopes. we had to match the parts of the microscope to there definitions. we also had to show mr wilson that we could properly use a microscope.

My fun summer

this summer was very interesting and way different to the last couple of summers I've had at Kennosee lake. at the began of this summer i had my annual 4-H cattle show. when i was there i showed my 4-H steer. i won champion steer and third place for showperson in club and for interclub i won second for showperson. after that i i basically just hung out with friends around Virden and Melita.then half way threw the summer i got a job at Tim Hortans and work there 20 hours a week till school started.

Commenting etiquette
While we hope that the content of a comment is meaningful and related to the post and learning, there is yet another dimension to commenting. Students need to be aware and observe proper “commenting netiquette”. Just like any other classroom rules at the beginning of each school year, this netiquette needs to be discussed, practiced and reviewed. It is also important to let students know your expectations of proper grammar and spelling in their online writing. Do you value content above all and are willing to close an eye to spelling? Or are you willing to take less content in exchange of time spent on grammar and spelling? You need to communicate your expectations clearly to your students.

Here is a short and simple commenting guide for my elementary age school students:

• Acknowledge the author of the blog post.
• Let the author know if you agree with him/her and why.
• It is also ok to disagree with something, just let the author know why you feel that way.
• One word comments are not very useful. Writing just “cool” or “nice” are not very helpful and don’t let the author of the blog post really know what you are thinking.
• Always make sure you follow “netiquette”. Think if it is appropriate BEFORE you hit the submit button.
• Always be polite . It does not matter if you agree or disagree with what you are reading in a blog. Don’t write anything you would be ashamed of saying to someone’s face. Don’t hurt somebody’s feelings.

My amazingly awesome Summer!

This is how my summer started। My summer all started with a numerous amount of things such as biking, dirt biking, trips and much more! I bike alooooot! and dirt bike quite a bit too. I usually bike in town but sometimes I go to Brandon to ride my bike around there. But the most excited part of my summer was going to Wisconsin dells. We had to drive along way! But in the end me myself I thought it was Worth it. We arrived in Wisconsin Dells around 3:30 Am Friday. Are hotel was Massive!!!!! About the size of My house times 1000!!! But as we got into the hotel i had one thing on my mind swimming! We just relaxed for the first day and one to a fancy restaurant. The second day we went swimming which being able to go to 6 different water parks was awesome! We did that for a few days and more fancy restaurants. But finally it was time to go home. :( Which ment aloooooong drive home. But I was ready with all the excitment i'd had thought the last few days was awesome! We slowly made it home. After a few days past i was going to make a trip to minot with my family and some friends. We stayed at the sleep in for 2 nights. I always wish we stayed at least 3 to 5. After a shorter drive home I was Almost ready for grade 8. The very next day i had to go get My school supplies boring! But the very next day was my first day of grade 8 I was ready and pretty confident with myself. So the first day of school my mom drove me and I made my way to my classroom. Mr Oldcorn is an awesome Teacher and very funny! After a few days past I had my first science Quiz. Which was very easy we had to look thought a micoscrope and point the arrow on the fews head. The Second Test was also Science it was a Little Quiz Which we had learned thought the past week so for me it was easy. I am doing good in grade 8 and i hope to do good in the rest. I hope the rest of my school year goes great!

my awesome birthday

  In august last summer, was my birthday. and for my birthday we did a whole lot of fun stuff. (non explanatory) the end. (explanatory) for my birthday party, me, Alec, and my friend from shoal lake  went to the Victoria inn in Brandon. my dad thought there was a water slide, but there was just a pool. so we made the most of of it. We did cannonballs, fell in, thew each other in, i did an belly flop, very painful. i just mostly got money for my birthday, then i got a car and we are in the process of making my shed. so ya, it was a good birthday.

My summer in all of its Glory

This summer i had a really fun time. I hung out with quite a bit of friends but i mostly hanged out with Steven walking around or something.

I also went to my cousins this summer in Regina. We stayed there for about a week and went boating a few times. Tubing was crazy the last time. We were ripped around for anout half an hour. At the end of the summer i bought a new game called Duke Nukem forever.

And near the end of the summer my great uncle got married and it waas huge. Everyone was there, even my cousins from Kelowna. I hung out with all my cousins that whole time. At the end of the week my cousins from kelowna stayed at our house for a little bit but then they had to go at 5:00 o' clock in the morning.

I had a really good summer and I hope to see my cousins again next year. Cya

School So Far

So far in school i have had alot of fun even though i had to do push ups sometimes. I haven't really liked ELA in passed years but this year it has been fun so far. I really like the paragrph of the week that we are doing right now i think its a cool idea inviting anyone that you want. At recess we have lost 5 volley balls on the roof. It has been mostly Coyle and my that have lost them. So the begging of the year has been fun so far.

My summer and first couple weeks of school!

I had a great summer. I hungout with freinds a lot. My friends Taylor took me, Allie and Carmen to Katy Perry. I loved it. It was a great concert. We drove home that night and didnt get back till 3:00 in the morning! but it was worth it. At the end of summer we went to Bismarck to go shopping. I took Taylor. We did lots of swimming and shopping. We had a really fun weekend. Then at the end of summer we took my sister Paige to University in Winnipeg. She is liking it so far and enjoying her classes. i miss her but im glad she is having fun. My first couple weeks of grade 8 have been good. Mr.olcorn is a great teacher but crazy sometimes. i am looking forward to be the studen council reporter. i think grade 8 will be a great year.

SUMMER!!!!!!

I had a really good summer,
first I went to Grand Rapids. It is a 7-7 and a half hour drive, it is very boring until you get there because there are many things to do. Acouple things i did were, shooting , shooting with a slingshot, fishing ,tubing, boating and many other things.
The second thing i did was hang out with friends and sleep in.
I had a really good summer and am looking forward to next summer.

What A great Start

This year so far is going great. I am really looking forward to having Mr.Oldcorn as a teacher. some things i want to this year is staying out of Mr.Keown's office. I want to play on every school sport and get my homework done on time. My favorite subject is drama because I really like to act. I also like gym because we get to play games like: Pirates gold , spongee polo and alot more. I think this is going to be a great year.

my first bit of grade 8

Well my first bit of grade 8 has gone pretty good. Mr.O is a bit of a different teacher-- like we have to do push ups and jumping jacks if we are not doing anything or don't do homework.

Some of the things that we are doing in ELA is portrait art and writing about our summer and who we would like to have over for Thanksgiving. In math we are doing probability and multiplying, dividing, adding and subtracting. But my favorite subject with Mr.O is drama. We get to play charades and it is funny what some of the people do.

Out of school I have been playing alot of hockey and hanging out with friends. So, overall it has been a good first bit of school.

The Start Of A Great Year.

So far in grade 8 we have learned allot. Well I learned not to put my books away early or else you will be doing push ups. Tristan had to do sush up today because he had his phone and it went off. It was funny. The best part of grade 8 is having Mr.O as a teacher because he is very funny.  Mr. O is the funniest teacher ever he gets up on the desks and dances, lol. It can be a very interesting day sometimes.So far that was the funny things that happend in grade 8

In September

The start of this year has went well. Mr.Oldcorn is an awesome teacher.I have enjoyed being the room rep even though it has not been that long.This year we get to go up to Mr.Peels classroom.We have grade 5 buddies in his classroom. My buddy is Shelby the first day we went upstairs we learned stuff about each other and we played a game called nab.We have to make a collage about them with 6 real things.

After school,when I get to my house i usually watch T.V. When I have homework I usually do it after supper and if i am bored i do some before supper. I sometimes go on the computer after school too. I have 7 people in my family and 2 dogs.

First few weeks of school!

My first few weeks of school have been pretty good. Mr.O is a great teacher, he is lots of fun and very creative. So far in E.L.A. we have been doing paragraphs of the week, short stories and portrait art. Math has been pretty easy, we do a daily warm up with fractions and been learning about probability. In science we are learning about microscopes and cells. Social Studies has also been good, we have done lots of group work like a study of legends, and research on natural resources. Overall its been a pretty good first few weeks of school, and I hope it continues!

School So Far?

School so far has been pretty good. Mr.O is a great teacher and i think this year will be tons of fun. We do games in class all the time and weird things like talking to our self's and flying like birds. Mr Oldcorn is definitely odd, but very fun! In E.L.A. we have done things like writing about our summers and writing short stories within the given time. Math has been fairly easy. We are working on fractions for warm up and we are doing the probability unit right now. In science we have worked with microscopes and cells. Social Studies has taught me about landforms, archaeology and legends. After school i have been hanging out with my friends, playing volleyball and just having fun. If the rest of grade 8 goes as good as the first few weeks have, it will be a blast!

My awesome summer

summer is started when i was grade 7 it's awesome because no more winter. 


so in july we got hanging out with my friends and got birthday party invitation to my friend. in august 4 is my birthday so we got a birthday pool party i invite cassidy and nicole and they said  they come and the rest i invite they said they can't come my mom present to me is ipad 2 so i'm so happy that i got an ipad 2.


 my first vacation in regina, in regina we went to the science museum so it's a kind a boring i didn't enjoy it. next is calagry, in calagry we went to drumheller, canmore, lake louise, banff, in drumheller we see the dinosaur they true dinosaur but they dead it's like bigger than your's, in canmore we see the mountains, in lake louise we see the the clean lake in there and the mountain is full of snow just a little bit snow, in banff we see again a mountain, well it's kind a cold a little bit and i see the mountains there some snow in there, and we went to the calgary zoo we see there lot's of animals, and we went to the edmonton we went there to the mall it's big mall and we went to the waterpark inside the mall of the edmonton so it's a huge mall the slide its so scary...

My first few weeks of school!!

My first few weeks of school have been pretty good. It was fun to talk to people I haven't seen all summer. Some of the stuff we have done so far are portrait art, we have learnt a little bit about writing and we have also played the 15 second game, wich is really fun. We also have Mrs. Mcpherson Ross for Social Studies, Mr. Wilson for Science and Mr. Kalynuk for gym health and one period of Math. We have also done a whole bunch of pushups. But I have been lucky and haven't done any yet, (lucky me!) Mr. Oldcorn is very energetic and does a whole bunch of different and weacky stuff during class. In math we are learnig about fractions and probability. I really hope the whole year ends up like what the first few weeks have been, If so it will be a really good year!

So Far School Has Been...

Pretty awesome. Mr. O is a great teacher. We have all ready done lots of fun things like our portrait art that we just finished today. In science we worked with microscopes. We have learned the parts of microscopes, how to use a microscope, and how to focus a microscope on low, medium, and high power. In social studies we did a group activity where we had to read a description of an object that had been buried for hundreds of years. Once we read the description, we had to figure out what the object was. So far this year has been really great and I think that it will continue to be a great year.

School so far...:))

My first few weeks of school were pretty cool.

I found a lot of new friends. At recess I usually hangout with friends and we just talk or walk around. Mr.O is really nice and really funny. And a little tiny bit crazy and odd but that's alright, because it's more fun like that.:))

We are drawing portaits in E.L.A and we're doing lots of different and fun stuff. Math is actually pretty easy. At the moment we are doing fractions and probability. Fractions are okay but I do not like probability at all. If we talk or don't listen or talk too quiet we have to do push-ups.  In Art we're making Graffiti and it's soooooo much fun!!! In drama we are playing charades and we are learning all the rules you have to follow. It's fun even though there's only 4 girls. In Health we watched a video about Terry Fox. We had to take notes and in Gym we've been playing games and we did fitness run and it was BAD! I also signed up for the Volleyball team. Lauren, Me, Haley and Chelsea are working in the Cantine this week and it's fun and kind of hectic but still alright. In science we learned about the microscope and we had a test on microscopes.
When I get home from school I usually do homework and then when my parents get home at 5:00pm we eat supper. Then I go on the computer or just go outside and jump on my trampoline. So far I haven't had friends over but they'll come too. Once we're finished building our new house I'll have more free time. On mondays I go to the Virden Choir with Carmen and Hannah.

My first few weeks.

My Epic Summer

Well, i had a pretty good Summer, i went places, saw people, and did things. I did a lot of things from fishing in Oak Lake to seeing the first satellite ever in space, to eating cheesecake at the Cheesecake Factory. It was a great summer, and I'm going to tell you some of my favourite highlights







So summer started when grade 7 ended, i didn't actually do a whole lot at the start of summer because my dad was working since all the crops flooded and water was rising. On his days off we went fishing, flying my RC plane or watching a movie, on the days he was working i hung out with friends or went biking. So yeah the start of summer was a bit slow, that's basically what i did for three quarters of the summer (it got pretty boring) but near the end, I went to Washington D.C (everyone keeps reminding how I said D.C) it was AWESOME, i saw the first plane ever made, its called the Wright Flyer! I went in these huge trains in huge underground tunnels called the Metro, I saw a nuclear missile, i touched a rock that was on the moon, I EVEN ATE SPACEMAN FOOD!!!! The White House was neat, even though there were people on the roof that looked like snipers or something and a guy behind the gate a few meter away holding a submachinegun. I saw a whole ton load of monuments like big old Honest Abe and Jefferson. Have you seen the movie National Treasure? The one with Nicholas Cage in it? well i saw the Declaration of Independence which is a big part of that, and i saw a few other documents like that. Well i could go on for a while so I will say just a few more highlights, I saw a whole bunch of dinosaur bones and caveman tools and even found out what i would look like as a Neanandrethal! Don't i have a big nose? Anyways i saw the T-Rex that was in Night at the Museum, i saw Dorothy's slippers from Wizard of Oz, The original Muppet's, Michal Jackson's hat, and a huge olden day steam engine, and a lot more but that's all I will say, On the plane ride back i was very close to being sick but luckily i didn't, when I landed in Bismark I definitely was not used to the cold, and when I got to Virden I was freezing. Washington used to be sort of a swamp so it is very hot. And that was my summer!



So now I'm all done typing, I hope you read the whole thing and enjoyed it, I sure enjoyed typing. Smeckdog Out!

After Hours

During the first weeks at school I've had lots of fun . I did things in class like on the first day we did class exercises, played the 15 second game. in drama we get to play charades. in art we are making garffedie and made a art folder. in science we have bin working with the microscopes and we leaned about the first microscope.

After school during the first Weeks I've bin dirt biking. I go dirt biking at India with Drake and Sheldon . After school i have also bin playing hockey and walking around town. When i play hockey i play left wing .

I want every student in 107 to make a post on this blog.  The post must be on the first few weeks of school.  It can be about your class, what is happening at recess, funny things that have happened - ANYTHING!

That said, it needs to be at a grade 8 writing level.  Not sure what I mean by that?  Give an honest effort and really explain yourself.  If it isn't up to standard, we'll talk and fix things.
