We Day in Winnipeg

we went to we day in november 22, 2011 we stop the bus to eat and were in Winnipeg to sleep in the gym and then we need to wake up early to ready for at the MTS centre.in November 23 were at the MTS there lot's of people in there we watch all the performers, my favorite there is hannah taylor because she is a good singer. wen were done, we leave in the MTS at 3pm and we wait for the bus like half an hour i think. wen were in the bus we stop at food i went to macdonald's to ate we ate at like 1 hour after that were go home now and we stop at the oak lake because there's a one guy i don't him.. and then we stop at the vci to go home and finally were safe..

Im trying to do the vow of silence

Sorry about all my other empty posts, they keep on posting for no reason! I hope this one doesnt post before im done. Anyways, Im actually trying to do the vow of silence! I think its going to be really hard for me though. About half of the class is doing it to. Two of the people I'm suprised are doing it are Terrance and Chassidy. I'd be speechelss if they made it, too bad i cant talk anyways! WeDay was really awesome and I would definetly go again. The speakers were really cool, and the bands were good too! The story of how the two brothers made Free the Children and WeDay is amazing too. Back to the vow of silence, i really hope I make it! Broken x2

We are building an abnormally tall shed so i can store my dirtbikes, snowmobiles, etc. It is tall because my dad wants to build a second floor so he can store some things we have no room for in the house. We had all the walls up and two rafters, my dad was about to secure the first and second rafter together. Then the ladder tipped and he fell, he landed on his writing hand breaking his arm in two places. He was in the hospital for four weeks. That happened two months ago. They had to cut open his arm then skin graft it, today he is back to work with his bone in place but is not healed.

Last week there was a basketball practice. At basketball there was only 7 people that showed up. We had to get all the basketballs out of this cabinet and then take all the volleyballs into the cabinet that the basketballs were in.We also got to do a whole bunch of games, like dribbling, and passing the ball, and doing layups. We also got to do this game it is when you dribble and people try to hit the ball away from you without getting there ball out of bounds. Jaydean and I were the last two people left so we just called it a tie.  Then we also got to play a real game. As we went along Mrs.McPherson showed us tricks that we could do when we play other teams.

Vow of silence

Today is the vow of silence.Not everyone has to do it though.Some people will not be able to last the whole day.I know that because some people talk all the time.It will be hard when you cant talk to anyone.We are going to donate money today.Not everybody is doing it in our class.Most people are except for 3 kids.I hope every one does well.This is from We Day!

The past couple of weeks

In the past couple of weeks i have done many things. Two weeks ago i had a had a hockey tournament in Portage. We got second. some other things are i went to we day in Winnipeg. It was fun my favorite person was Spencer West. Last weekend I had a game we won 5-2 the last time played that team though we beat them 12-1. last week and yesterday we had tryouts for third roster. It went well the first day I did not think I did to good but the second day went better. I made the team though. The tournaments that we are going to go to are tournament of champions and provincials it is going to be really fun. today i am taking the vow of silence it might be hard but that is okay. I am just going to stay in Virden for Christmas this year. Some things that i want are a go pro and MW3.

What has Happened

these past couple of weeks we have bin working on our dance and bin reading a book called i am David it is a bout a boy that runs away from a concentration camp. Another thing is that we have a home hockey tournament starting at 8 on Friday. We just had our hockey tryouts for third roster yesterday. i want a snowboard for Christmas or an X box 360. in class we have bin doing lots of math and writing stories. Yesterday was the grade 5 and 6 v-ball tournament.

What I'm doing for Christmas

For christmas we usually get clothes and some other items. Last year i got a XBox kinect which was pretty cool. Also, every year at christmas we get a book or 2 for every kid because that's what grandma did before she died. For a book this year i want the new Percy Jackson series. The second book has already came out and it looks really good. We don't actually have a real christmas tree because of all the dying pines left behind. We have lots of ornaments to put on the tree and around the house. We used to always have grandma at our house for Christmas and I remember one time when grandma and my brother stayed up all night trying to beat this one sonic game. anyways, Christmas should be amazing this year and it'll always be good.

its not going to be easy taking part in Vow of silence. Whoever is taking part in the Vow of silence has to be quiet for the whole school day. We have finished doing chapter 2 and chapter 3 in math. The boys and the girls both won Divisional. I cant wait for the World juniors starting on Boxing Day. The first game Canada is against is Finland. I am excited for Christmas because I might be getting a laptop. On my Birthday I want a Michael Ferland jersey. For Christmas i want the new two and a half men season, I want the new Nickelback album Here And Now.

Ear Surgery

Last week on Wednesday I had to go to Portage for surgery on my ears. The surgery I had to get was my adenoids taken out and tubes put in my ears. I have been waiting to get this surgery since March. The doctors had to put me to sleep and when I woke up I was in a lot of pain. They had to give me a lot of medicine for the pain but nothing really helped. I was in the hospital for a bought eight hours. I still have to take a lot of pain medication now because my ears still always hurt and I don't think the surgery really helped at all. I hope that the pain goes away soon.

How its been so far

A while ago Mr. Oldcorn took time off from his job as a teacher because he was having a baby. When Mr. Oldcorn left , he got Mrs. Paul to fill in for him. Mrs. Paul and Mr. Wilson decided that the grade 8 classes would have a dance off or something like that. All though i like dancing i dont really want to do this in front of the whole school and the family members of some of the other students. This year i am looking forward to Christmas, as no one in the family believes in Santa any more. This year i asked for a playstation 3 with more gb's then the one i already have. I have an 80 gb ps3 but for christmas i am asking for a 320 gb ps3 bundle that comes with 2 games. Though no one in my family believes in Santa i still have to play along because my nephew will when he gets a bit older. One more reason why i am looking forward to Christmas is because my grandma and grandpa and my aunts and uncles are coming over for Christmas.

Im doing the Vow of Silence

Sorry about my five other posts before this. I'm not sure why but my posts keep publishing before I do anything. Anyways, I'm attempting to do the vow of silence. It is one of the hardest things
I've ever done. I'm going to try though. WeDay was really awesome, i would definitely go again! About half the class is doing the vow of silence too. I'm pretty sure that tomorrow I'm going to be talking nonstop! If I do make it through the whole day, Im going to be really impressed. Two of the people that I think wont make it are; Chassidy and Terrance. If they do make it, I'm going to be speechless, too bad I can't talk anyways! I suppose I may resort to carrying a pen and notepad to talk. But that might take too long. Anyways, thanks for reading my blog! And wish me luck with the vow of silence!

WE DAY!

We day was amazing! There were lots of speakers there that taught me a lot about what i can do to help people less fortunate than me. I learned about people who made a difference in the world who started when they were my age. It made me really think about what I'm going to do with my life. It was fun to with the live performances by Down With Webster, Hedley, and Neverest. Another thing was that was fun was going to the mall even if we got split up part way through. It was a very valuable experience. I defanetly want to going again.

My time so far....

When Mr. Oldcorn left was a few weeks ago, and we got Mrs Paull as are substitute, well a back up teacher for a few weeks. Mrs. Paull is sooo nice and helps us with everything. We had lots of excited times, some ups and some downs, some work and some fun. we have done many pows and we also started the book I am David. It is an okay book but i've read better Mrs. Paull promises us it will get better. A few weeks past and we started the dance "We like to Move It Move It", it is a song that is off Madagascar, we are facing Mr. Wilson's class in a dance off (We will win!). Few more days went by and we are on chapter 4 in I Am David. For Christmas me and my family are planning to stay at home. We usally go to my Grandma's after we open presents at are house. So thats double the presents. We usally go to Assesipi every Christmas to go skiing and boarding. But that is my time so far Mrs. Paull is a great teacher, but I wait for Mr. Oldcorn to get back.

November !

This year my volleyball team won divisionals against Kola in Reston and won zones against Deloraine in Deloraine. We started basketball last week and so far it is great. Last week I went to we day and I loved it. It was a lot of fun and I want to go again next year. Today I am doing the vow of silence to support kids in Africa who have no voice in what happens to them or their families. I leave for Disney World in two weeks and I am so excited to go! It is me, my sister, my dad, my mom and my cousin Ryley going. I am happy that there is snow outside. I am excited to start going to asessippi again soon !

Volleyball,Basketball and Christmas

I have an awesome year so far. For volleyball my team won divisionals against Kola in Reston and we won Zones against Deleraine in Deleraine. We had a great year and it went by way to fast and i wish it went on for the rest of the year. I am really excited for high school volleyball next year and hope we have a good year just like this year. Basketball is starting now and i am going to play. I dont like it as much as volleyball but im going to play anyways. I think we have a good chance on winning divisionals.My birthday and christmas are both coming up shortly and im excited for both. My birthday is december 3rd and i got one of my presents early which were my pink uggs. I also asked for a new straightner. For christmas i am asking for a new ipod or phone case and i dont know what else i want yet . Asessippi is opening up on December 10th and i am hopefully going on a Saturday with Chassidy. I am really excited for our ski trip i think we will have alot of fun.

Suff i have been doing in school

Some of the stuff that I've been doing is my team started the hockey season. We have won 3 games and lost 2. The 3 teams we beat were Foxwarren grand plains and Minnidosa. The teams we lost to were both the dauphin teams but we played really bad. There is 4 other kids from my class on my team they are Matt C, Tristan,Cullen and Devante. I also made a 3rd roster team yesterday. we had try outs for the team on Thursday and Tuesday. In 3rd roster we just go to tournament of champions and provincials. that was pretty much all I've done lately.

The Past Few Weeks

We have done lots of things while Mr. O was away. The boys and girls both won divisionals. We have finished two math units and started reading the book I Am David. Today is the Vow of Silence. Lots of people in our class are doing it. It means that you have to be silent all day because some people in Africa aren't allowed to talk and share their opinion. We also are filling Christmas Cheer hampers to go to people in our community. These are the things we have done in the time Mr. O has been away.

I like to move it!

So this week, or the weeks Mr. O has been away, I have had a lot of fun. I hung out with friends a lot and my cousins came over too. The first snow fell, but now it's almost melted.  In Drama we are working on our dance, for the dance competition in December. It is so much fun. We had to write an essay in ela last week. I hope i did good. Tomorrow we will have a science test and i'm not sure if i will do very well. I hope everybody does well tomorrow.

what makes me happy

makes me happy is first of all is finally were here in Canada, my first snow in Canada, we went to sledding with my friends, can't wait again and my last birthday that all my friends is gave me a gift especially my mom she gave me a iPad2, how can i forget Christmas in Christmas we've got lots of fun too i like how we play games at my house can't wait this coming Christmas. oh ya summer, makes me happy in summer is swimming at my house with my friends, went biking and play some sport. all of that is makes me happy in Canada that i can't forget

What makes me happy

What makes me happy is, to be honest, hanging out with my mother. She used to always hang out but these days she is either doing books or doing dishes. It stinks so much because I remember running with a water pistol while she had a garden hose spraying my brother and I ran at her. We still have time to talk when we go to a hockey game though. Hanging out with my mother is what makes me happy and i miss playing around!

When the Brandon Wheat Kings win that make me happy. It makes me happy because im a huge Wheat King fan. It always feels good when your favorite wins.

These are things that make Jo happy!

One thing that makes me happy is Music. When  listen to music, I sing or dance and do crazy stuff! Some songs instantly take me back to a moment or a place. I like knowing, that no matter how much you change,that moment always stays the same!!  I always listen to music! A day without music for me, is a bad day! Another thing that makes me happy are my family and friends! I don't get to see the other half of my family, so I like skyping with them. I love playing volleyball with my friends. When they come to my house, we always play volleyball on my trampoline. It is so much fun! The third thing that makes me happy, are babies! I am not sure why, but I love seeing them! They are so cute and when they smile or sing or just say crazy stuff, they make me laugh!

Well, there are quite a few things that make me happy! I like going on fast roller coaster and other things that make the wind rush through my hair! Hockey makes me happy, especially when i get a breakaway and score a goal. Finishing projects or homework make me happy because of that awesome sense of accomplishment I get. Petting my dogs makes me fell happy. When I am on a plane, high in the air, makes me happy. Hanging out with my friends makes me happy. And a canceled school day definitely makes me happy! A lot of things make me happy, and I hope I find more! Also , my blogs have sort of gotten a reputation for having pictures in them so here is one of a cat in a battle tank!!!! Yeah, I'm sort of random too!

I am happy when I am on a really fast roller coaster going around a loop. This makes me happy because it is exciting and sometimes scary. Going on roller coasters is one of my favourite thing to do.

One thing that makes me happy is hockey. I love playing hockey and watching hockey. Hockey makes me happy because its challenging and its fun to play. I've played hockey since i was 4 1/2.

Some things that make me happy is dirt biking because i love the adrenaline rush of when i am in a race or hitting a big jump and landing it. Another thing i love to do is play hockey i started playing hockey when i was three. The last thing i love is riding my horse with my sister and my mom.

Lots of different kinds of things make me happy. Hanging out with friends and having fun with them is really fun. We do a lot together on weekends and just being around them, makes me smile. Spending time with my whole family also makes me happy because i dont get to see them a lot because most of them live in Portage or Winnipeg. My dog emma makes me happy becuase she is really playful and loves to cuddle. Playing volleyball with my team is so fun becuase we learn to work together and we just have a lot of fun on the court! Another thing that makes me happy is going to my dads becuase i dont get to see him alot. I have lots of fun when i go there.
